Back in the Swing of Things

So this time last week I was on a plane with a good friend and a stout bloody mary in my hand (thank you Mr. flight attendant we appreciated the top off of vodka), headed to FL! What more could a girl ask for.....well I could think of a lot of things but I will leave that alone for now :) I will say that I have had a really hard time this week getting back into the swing of things...why do vacations do that to me???

I had a great time with Annie just us girls...no schedules, no rules, no worries. I really enjoyed just being able to go with the flow. I was really really disappointed that the day we chose to go to the beach it rained cats and dogs the entire time!

I worked in FL for a few years so it wasn't like I had never been to the beach there, it was just something we both were really looking forward to. Oh well Mother Nature didn't want it to happen!

Looking back on the weekend this week, I found myself realizing how much I really needed that short get away. I got home and felt tired, but yet very refreshed, and really not wanting to go back to reality. There is something to say for girls weekends...I think every woman should make time for them. I don't do them as often as I would like to....I must work on that :)

Baby Babies and More Babies

I am also so so so excited......

My good friend Jennifer and her husband Kerry welcomed their baby boy into the world Monday July 6th (a little early) but healthy! Easton Alexander Chase welcome to the world dude. I can't wait to meet you as soon as I can get my butt to Atlanta :) Miss you guys!

Also want to note that I have so many friends who have just had babies or who are expecting in the next month or so....what the heck was going on late last year??? :)

Summer Time

Just wanted to say I hope everyone had a good July 4th! I can't believe it is already that time of the year...boy how time flies!

I had a great weekend on the lake with good people, good food, good drinks :), and awesome weather.....oh and our lake actually had water in it....

Somehow I managed to get really burned I applied and re-applied but I guess sitting in a flotation device ALL DAY and consuming yummy drinks doesn't help!

It was awesome to get to see and hang out with old friends and make some new ones along the way! Thank you America :) I am still slowly recovering!

Sad Day......

So I have to admit that I am not really that big of a baseball fan unless I am physically sitting in the stands with a beer in hand. However I have taken an interest in the College World Series this year. I think mostly it's because the HORNS are there, and I try and support them in most sports, especially if they make it to the finals. With that being said my heart feels for then men on the baseball team today.

As someone who has played sports (not at their level by any means), and has suffered major defeat, it is something that always stays with you.

After the game started to take a turn down hill for the HORNS last night, I sat thinking I can not imagine what is going on in the minds of all those young men who are about to let the national championship slip through their gloves, who have accomplished so much this season, and who have found a way to somehow pull of a win when it mattered most....not last night....

So today I am sad...sad for all the fans, players and for anyone who has gone through the thing life hands us better know as defeat. Next year boys...next year! HOOK'EM

First Ever!

Okay so I have a lot of friends and people I know who have blogs. I finally decided that I should join the fun and experience putting my life's happenings, thoughts and whatever's out there for my friends and family to enjoy.

Being that I have friends all over the country, and through Facebook and MySpace I have been able to reconnect and keep up with their lives, I feel that this type of fourm is a little more personal (sorry I just cant get into the twitter thing!) and it gives me a place to just share whatever it is I want!

This is going to be a work in progress... just trying to figure out how it all works so bare with me :) I hope that anyone who visits enjoys the postings and glimpse into what I have going on.
